Unlock the Magic of Oz for All Children with Disabilities
Did you know that over 500,000 children in the US face vision challenges, and out of every 1,000, two to three are born with a detectable hearing loss in one or both ears? We are embarking on a transformative project: Making the original "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" book accessible to all.
We need your generous support to bring this classic story to life in a way that all children, including those who are blind or deaf, can enjoy. Your contributions will help us create an audiobook with rich audio descriptions and a video featuring American Sign Language (ASL) interpretations on the
Imagination Storybooks by DCMP Channel.
What makes this project truly special is our commitment to inclusivity. We are proud to bring together an exceptional cast of blind and low-vision talent, including Aria Mia Loberti, star of the Netflix film "All the Light We Cannot See," as Dorothy; Bruce Horak, the blind alien Hemmer in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds as the Scarecrow; and Molly Burke, a renowned Canadian YouTube personality, author, and motivational speaker as Glinda. Their unique perspectives and talents will help us create an extraordinary experience for children everywhere.
Join us in making this dream a reality. Your support will ensure that the magic of Oz is accessible to every child, fostering a love for reading and storytelling in a way that embraces all abilities. Together, we can make a difference. Be a part of this incredible journey!
