Project Update: Legends of Adventure is 175% Funded + A Guy from Andromeda Appears!
What an amazing few days it's been – we're officially at 175% funded with our first stretch goal of $150,000 now in sight! Thanks for your support!
In case you missed it, we had the chance to speak with Ken and Roberta Williams about the project on a live Twitter Space earlier this week – and we were briefly joined by noted Sierra fan and The Last of Us co-creator Neil Druckmann. It was a fun discussion! You can listen to a recording of the Space here.
We've got an exciting announcement to close out the week. Those of you who follow the Space Quest Historian may have caught some breaking news on his channel earlier today, but we are excited to officially confirm that Scott Murphy – co-creator of Space Quest and the other "Guy from Andromeda" – has joined the cast of Legends of Adventure!
We're so happy to have the "Two Guys" on board! Scott and Mark were key creatives during the heyday of Sierra, so we really couldn't make this documentary without them.
Thanks,
The Legends of Adventure Team

I'm as curious as anyone to see the documentary! Maybe more so!

For me, it's Doug and Ken MacNeill, the designers of Gold Rush!

I would LOVE to see some of the technical folks at Sierra On-Line in the documentary talking about Game Engine creations. The innovation of these engines of that time was amazing! Having folks like Chris Iden and Jeff Stephenson and others talking about the development of AGI and SCI would be an absolute TREAT! Looking forward to the doc!

Project Update: Legends of Adventure is 100% Funded + A New Cast Member!
Legends of Adventure: The Story of Sierra On-Line is officially 100% funded in less than 24 hours!
And that's all thanks to you – THANK YOU!
We are overwhelmed by the response, but this is where the fun part begins... Every dollar we raise over and above our initial funding goal helps us make the documentary bigger and better, with more interviews, more games covered, and more everything.
Our first Stretch Goal of $150,000 expands the scope of the doc and makes it the best possible version it can be.
If there's another Sierra or retro gaming fan in your life who wants to see the documentary become a reality, please share our BackerKit campaign page – thelegendsofadventure.com – and ask them to Join the Quest!
This is just the beginning of the story and we have so many more exciting announcements to share with you over the coming weeks... like the fact that Sierra's resident music wizard – composer and producer Mark Seibert – has just joined the cast of Legends of Adventure.
Seibert was the Music Director on many iconic Sierra games and contributed both music and sound effects to many more!
Stay tuned for more exciting reveals and announcements – and if you haven't already, be sure to take part in our "Trivia Quest" to test your Sierra knowledge to unlock exclusive swag!
Thanks,
- The Legends of Adventure Team

For me it was figuring out how to sharp the knife in LSL 3 (it was with the casino stairs)
I'm not sure if there are plans to include stories and info about the Imagination Network, but I would absolutely love to hear more this topic. I hope we hit $300k, INN could be an entire episode.

Sierra On-Line games were a huge part of my childhood, not only on my own but also playing together with my sister and parents. Mom controlled the keyboard for King's Quest while we all shouted ideas because she was the fastest typist. Then Dad introduced us to Quest for Glory and after that my sister and I would sit together to play different characters. Quest for Glory is my favorite not only for the family nostalgia but the humor of the writing, the gorgeous art, particularly the VGA remake, the music and sound design, and the amazing cast of characters. When I need to focus on coding while at work, I still will occasionally put on a YouTube playthrough of QFG1 in the background for the music and sound effects. Please share your own memories and stories!

I'd love to know who your favorite NPCs (non-player characters) are! Maybe this character had a memorable quest-line, a quotable piece of dialogue, a unique personality, or just a really, really good design -- or maybe you don't need a reason to like them, you just do! :D One of my favorites is Archduke Fifi le Yipyap from King's Quest VII. My sister and I used to quote him all the time and I adore his fierce ridiculousness. He's the perfect leader for the Town of Falderal and a surprisingly intimidating antagonist for his small stature and infamous tackiness. If I ever get a dog, I would absolutely name it after him.
