PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Out of the Gate
Hey friends,
Just a quick update here as we check in on the first 40 hours of the campaign. We're currently sitting at about 65% of our initial goal which is a decent start. About $1750 to go and we will be funded!
This effort is an experiment on our part. First and foremost we want to create a series of GM tips & tricks to help people run our most popular games. This campaign is one way to gauge how much demand there is for that.
One of the things we sometimes hear is "X/Y/Z game looks cool, but I didn't really get how some of it works" or "I read a lot about how cool X/Y/Z game is but we played a session and it didn't land with my players." This series is designed to help address those questions and to share some moves that you may not have thought of. We sincerely believe that helping people become better GMs leads to better game sessions and that's a win for everyone.
The second part of this is the creation of our own Moonbeam realm where fans can hang out, trade tips, and discuss our games. There's no official Evil Hat discord or messageboard and this is our chance to test the waters to see if that's something fans want and will use. We're going to open the doors on this venue and see who wants to dance.
But most important: we can't emphasize enough how excited we are to showcase the talent and expertise of the members of our GM panels. It's a great group and we're certain you're going to come away from each roundtable session inspired with new ideas on how to run a game.
But we have to get there first.
Please, share this project with your friends and on your preferred choice of social media. The lowest pledge level is an absolute bargain at just $2.50 per streamed event. We have other goals waiting in the wings, but our first step is to get funded. We're confident we'll achieve our initial goal - you can help us get there faster.
Thanks again for your support!
