Inspired by my deep love for the ocean, Tidal Treasures features animals and habitats of the Pacific coast. In this collection of enamel pins, art, and more, you’ll find a diverse and colorful array of species that are keystones of the ocean ecosystem. Harbor Seals and Sea Otters play in kelp forests while a variety of fascinating invertebrates—from Giant Pacific Octopus to the tiny Opalescent Nudibranch—dwell in the intertidal zones and rocky shores.

Tidal Treasures is a set of hard enamel pins with vibrant colors reminiscent of sunny days on the West Coast and a gold tone finish.
Our initial funding goal will cover producing the full set of 15 pins, stickers, and display boards. With enough support the Tidal Treasures Collection will be expanded to include additional pins, plus free stickers for all backers!
Three extra-large 2.75" pins depict the intertidal habitats and their strange invertebrate denizens.
Two 1.75" pins feature mammals of the kelp forests.
10 mini accent pins, ranging in size from .375"-.5", show off the fascinating life of tide pools and shores.

Custom-designed and handcrafted for Tidal Treasures by Carly K of Mythic Management, this unique double-sided display is available in two sizes, both with Maple Durawood on one side and Ebony Durawood on the other. Due to the unpredictable nature of the shipping and manufacturing process, these estimates are subject to change in either direction. We'll be sure to send progress updates regularly until fulfilled.
Late June 2024: Campaign ends, and funds from Backerkit will be received 2-3 weeks after.
July-August: Surveys sent to backers
August-Sept: Production will start with an estimated 4-8 weeks of production time, shipping costs charged to backers.
November: Rewards will arrive and begin shipping to Backers
Shipping will be charged separately after the campaign ends and closer to the ship date.
Shipping will be via USPS First Class with tracking or USPS Priority Mail insured; costs are subject to change based on USPS rates at the time of shipping.
Estimated shipping as of June 2024:
$6 within the US for 1-3 pins, $15 to $20 to Canada
$10 to 25 within the US and minimum $32 to Canada for larger orders sent insured via Priority Mail.
We will do our best to ensure the most cost-effective and accurate shipping prices!
For backers outside of the US & Canada:
International backers, we love you, but due to complex licensing and tax requirements we are not able to offer International Shipping for this campaign.
It's important to understand that this is a crowdfunded campaign and your pledge is an upfront investment in the project and products—this is not an online store and you will not immediately receive your rewards after pledging.
Once the campaign ends you will be charged for your selected Pledge Level plus any Add-ons purchased during the campaign. I will receive the money from Backerkit around two weeks after the campaign ends, and backers will receive a Pledge Survey to choose their rewards and purchase any additional items they choose. Additional purchases and shipping charges will be processed separately and charged closer to fulfillment.
Once the majority of the surveys are in, production on the reward items will begin. Please note that minor changes to items may occur in production, and that the images presented here are mockup designs. There is a possibility of slight changes in color and size in the physical item.
The timeline above is an estimate based on past crowdfunded enamel pin campaigns that I've completed, and is subject to change. I will always be upfront with backers along the way, and I will disclose any setbacks, delays, and any other pertinent updates.
This will be my 8th crowdfunding campaign that I've led or co-led, and I anticipate successfully fulfilling and delivering rewards to all backers.

Hello, I’m so delighted you’re interested in my latest pin collection! I'm Carrie Alyson (any pronouns), a Tacoma-based artist who loves tarot, TTRPGs, board games, ice skating, and hiking and birdwatching with my wife.
In 2019, I launched my very first pin collection, Calming Cats for the Anxious Purrsonality, a series of mindfulness reminders paired with feline support. In 2023, I joined Pintopia to crowdfund the Frantic Familiars, another cat-themed pin collection which embodied the magic and mayhem of setting myself the goal of becoming a full-time artist. I followed it up with Nocturnal Nouveau to create a dreamy collection of art nouveau flora, fauna, and celestial pins, and partnered with my friend Kim Kuzuri for Folkgore, a collection inspired by ghosts and monsters from both traditional and contemporary folklore. I was thrilled to join in for Pintopia 2024 and partner with my friend Crystal Tea to launch Just Say No, a collection of pins about setting healthy boundaries.
