Project Update: Hows the purple?
Hey all!
Loved all the spellbook suggestions (i think we have to turn that into some sort of comic book) of owlbear casting various spells.
Anyways, we're slowly trucking our way to 100k, and it looks inevitable (artist is on vacation so i don't have any fishing images yet), but its something I'm looking to get situated really soon.
Also i know it would probably boost us all the way up, but I'm holding off making it available (until backerkit) when everything about the fishing kit is finalized (so you're informed).
Anyways, i had no pictures to show off of purple owlbear (and we wont know the true color until we see the swatches, but i did a quick edit of one of my existing owlbear photos to showcase what a purple could look like. What do you think? lighter? darker? just right?

Project Update: Plush toys ALMOST DONE + more!
I hope everyone is doing well! I have great news.. the plush toys are almost ready to ship! They should all be finished soon and shipped this month. In the mean time, please enjoy these photos of some of the designs being packed!
Also.. the keychains are finished! I am super pleased with how they came out and the printing is sandwiched in between two pieces of acrylic. That means everythign is safe and the image cannot be scratched off!
Next update should be super exciting.. ah!

Project Update: All surveys are out!
I’m sorry it took a while, but all of the surveys are out! The reason for the delay was because of Kai’s sample being delayed, and it’s still not finished. There seems to be an issue every time the sample is revised, we are working on making Kai’s design as perfect as possible.
Hopefully Kai will be finished soon, if you want to wait to fill out your survey that is totally fine.
I’m still figuring things out as I go on how this all works, but I believe there’s a point where we are going to cut off survey editing. I’ll give plenty of time though and for sure wait until Kai’s sample is done.
As for an update with me…. lol I’m trucking along. Still constantly fatigue and tired all the time. But the pregnancy is going well and baby is healthy. And also, it’s a girl 🥰💕 we are more than halfway along now, she’s gonna be a Halloween baby! Haha!

Project Update: Answering questions + Marigold sample
We've been also anxious about this, feeling overwhelmed -which made us withdraw a bit socially. We do not mean to shift blame, but rather to offer insight into the situation.
We're also going through a tough time for a very long period now, and we're already working hard to handle everything the best we can both for this campaign and for other aspects of our work.
As stated on the main campaign page (and as is common in crowdfunding), if an item isn't unlocked, it can't be produced or received as a backer reward.
>Therefore, everyone is always encouraged to keep an eye on the campaign while it's live and adjust your pledge accordingly before it ends (reminder e-mails are also sent before the very end of the campaign for this as well). The great thing about crowdfunding campaigns like this one, is that you can easily adjust your pledged amount (increase, decrease, or even cancel) until the end. We thought it might be helpful to mention this again, as many have asked about it.
In summary, if on the last day of the campaign some items you're interested in haven't been unlocked, you can simply decrease or cancel your pledge.
Otherwise, the full amount will be automatically charged, and can be used it in the survey to get the unlocked items (choosing duplicates), for any extra post-campaign add-ons available (sometimes we include items from our past campaigns/shop), or for covering shipping costs!
As stated earlier, please note that refunds are not possible once the campaign has concluded and payments have been processed. This is because all funds are allocated towards fees, taxes, and production expenses. We do not have the ability to charge a different amount than what was originally pledged by the backer. The decision to change the pledged amount rests solely with the backer.
This also applies to those who took advantage of the early bird discounts: as mentioned before, if you cancel your pledge or switch tiers after the early bird period has ended, unfortunately, you will lose your reserved spot and the associated benefits. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. We're sorry... Regrettably, this is a measure that we are unable to change in any way.
>If you want to keep the early bird benefits, you can stay in the selected tier and change the pledge level later in the survey -using the remaining extra charged amount for shipping costs or other purposes (because you will still be charged in full).
If you are an early bird and would like to change tiers during the campaign ongoing , feel free to contact us privately, and we will do our best to assist you directly~
Now, hoping we've addressed all your questions and everything is crystal clear, we are excited to share with you the Marigold sample (the first character to come to life as a sample among the others). We are currently collaborating with our manufacturer to make the needed adjustments and on the other samples. There are still a few minor changes to add, but it looks promising!
Are these final or drafts? I ask, because I pledge for Maple. Her face is very far apart in comparison. Her mouth is quite low with her eyes also being very spaced. Thank you
Project Update: PLEASE READ: Series 2 production updates!
I got some good news and bad news in this update, so lets rip the bandaid and start with the bad news. Production is not as far along as I was hoping it would be at the start of July. In order to stay on schedule the plushies would need to be leaving the factory pretty much now, and that is simply not the case.
According to my supplier, we're looking at the snughouls leaving the factory around the end of August. To be frank, that sucks. I was told- even with such a large order -the lead time would be about 45 days and this week is the 45 day mark since making the initial payment.
All of that said, there's not much I can do at this point beyond keeping you folks updated and crossing my fingers we don't encounter any more delays. Words can't express how much I appreciate the patience each and every one of you has had since this project began, and I hope you'll hang in there a little longer as all the little pieces finally come together 🙏
Now for the good news! Some of the designs are in the embroidery step, and others are being sewn so we ARE making progress. Totes are also finally on the way to the warehouse and stickers and lanyards will be following suit soon.
The one upside to this delay is that it gives me a bit more time to hash out some of the custom packaging details that I had put on the backburner while under the impression we would start shipping early August. I want to make opening your snughoul package feel as personal and magical as possible, so I'm actually looking forward to working on this as soon as I get back from my trip this weekend!
Less of an upside and more of an optimistic assumption on my part-- I want to believe this delay also means they're treating every plush with care (knowing they'll be inspected not once, but TWICE by my own team) and we'll really be blown away with the final product.
To summarize:
- Production isn't going as fast as I hoped, plushies are now expected to leave the factory around late August.
- This means they likely won't reach the warehouse where they'll begin shipping to backers until October.
- Things are still progressing though, with many of the snughoul designs either being embroidered or sewn now.
Once again thank you for your patience, and I deeply apologize for any stress or disappointment this update may cause! Believe me when I say I'm equally disappointed and dreaming of the day I can start sending out tracking emails 💖
