Project Update: Available Monday: The Extra Copies of The King-Killing Queen & The Briar-Sword Monk
On Monday at 2PM ET / 11AM PT, the Grim Oak Press website will make available the remaining copies of The King-Killing Queen and The Briar-Sword Monk. These are set in the same world as The Dark Thorn but the series takes place 400 years before Richard's story. These were crowdfunded over a year ago in partnership with Skybound Entertainment (The Walking Dead) and are made available on Monday for the first time since the crowdfund ended.

I also want to take a moment to tell you about two crowdfunded projects that I've backed and think deserve support.
Mary Robinette Kowal's Silent Spaces is a short story anthology project set in the same universe as her Lady Astronaut books. I love these books, they have real space science along with relatable characters in an alternate history setting. This anthology is a fantastic way to sample her writing. She also has a marvelous assortment of ancillary merchandise.
Uncanny Magazine is doing their annual fundraiser / subscriber drive so that they can produce their excellent magazine filled with speculative fiction short stories, poetry, and non-fiction. Now is a great time to give them some support and help them keep doing the work that they love.
We're closing in on the final funding week. I'll be back in your inboxes several times over the next few days as we push to fund the audiobook and offset printing before the project closes.

Project Update: NEW UNLOCKABLE BONUS STORY, LIVESTREAMS, AND MORE
If we get at least 300 backers, then all crowdfund backers, and only our crowdfund backers, will receive a bonus story by editor Jay Wolf, credited to their authorial pseudonym, called "By Thieves-Light".
An adventure fantasy m/m romance that answers the question 'what if "Ill-Met in Lankhmar" was a meet-cute?' with light improvisational bondage and a twist on the classic sex-pollen trope, "By Thieves-Light" is loosely inspired by our back cover Illustration.
The story will be provided in PDF and ePub formats.

Project Update: Stretch Goal Achieved and One Week Left!
We've got one week left on this project and we just cleared the first stretch goal! I get paid and the lecture bundle add on will contain a fourth bonus lecture. I feel very optimistic that we'll unlock both the audiobook and offset printing before the project closes.
Thank you so much for your support in getting the project this far!
There are some things I want to note so that you have the chance to update your pledge if you wish.
Updated project timeline: I've created a more detailed project timeline on the main story. The most important note is that I originally hoped to have books in your hands by December's holiday gifting season. I now think that is unlikely. Even if the added chapters did not slow the project down, book printers get very backlogged between October and the end of the year. I now hope to have books in your hands by March of 2025. All through the process I'll keep you updated to let you know when to expect your book. I just wanted to make sure you don't plan on this book for this year's holiday gifting.
Updated Table of Contents: The exact titles of chapters are still in flux, but the list gives you an idea of what is already in the book and what I intend to add before going to print.
With that housekeeping out of the way, I want to return to celebration. Every day since this project funded I've carried joy that so many people are excited about my book. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Project Update: A Timely Full Bloom! 🌷🌞
I have waxed and waned with internally imposing pressure on myself to get this project "done". However, I continue to practice and apply what I actually teach in the book, which is allowing your own Divine Timing to unfold.
As some of you may have read in the last update, I have a baby on the way! Which has caused a lot of unexpected "delays" in my creative editing process. As I continue to trust in my own unique journey, while still holding myself accountable to all of you (my biggest fans and supporters) and myself to complete this much anticipated project, grace gives me everything I need in Divine Time.
This is a long-winded way of saying, edits are complete! ✨🎉 And we will be going to production this coming week! Such an example of the archetypal energy of Summer to shine! No coincidence, that the end of next week is also the start of my maternity leave from my private hands-on healing practice, which is 8 weeks before the baby's expected due date! I may as well put a little bow 🎀 on everything!
I'm thankful to Nick for being so patient in the co-creative experience of this project.
Thanks to all of you being so patient as well! Many of you have come to me for private readings in the interim, which has only added to the juiciness of this project!
